-Golden Hill PAXING IT UP!!!!
This week we had a school wide assembly to discuss PAX with the students — we had a visit from the EAGLE during this time !!
What is PAX:
Golden Hill staff wanted consistent behavior strategies throughout the school. After much research, PAX was chosen. The staff is spending a couple of Saturdays in professional development learning about PAX. By September 14th, we will be a PAX trained school! We are very excited about this!!! PAX is the latin word for peace. In a larger context it means productivity, peace, health, happiness, and harmonious social interactions. PAX strategies help students learn important self-regulation and management skill while collaborating to make a peaceful and productive environment. Learn more at

-What today was like for our Golden Hill staff (DAY BEFORE SCHOOL STARTED FOR STUDENTS):
During the day today, our teachers were working hard getting ready for our students! We are working on having students think deeper with the use of questioning. You can do this at home as well. Ask your child questions such as: “tell me more” and “what did you mean by that?” There are more examples below.
