Golden Hill News and Updates
Today is picture day - very exciting. The students look so ready for this!
This week, we had an assembly demonstrating and practicing our PAX vision (listening to the speaker, remembering spatial boundaries, and trying our best - with a large discussion on perseverance). Perseverance will be something we talk about throughout the year. Students got to see a short skit by some of our teachers showing what this looks like, and then we gave out awards to students who persevered during our summer reading challenge. The students were so engaged and thoughtful during the entire assembly.
Reminder and Thank You
Thank you for making parent drop off and pick up safer and quicker - for staying in your cars and having your child ready. Please remember that when traveling through the surrounding neighborhoods, drive slowly, as we have many students walking to school and other families living there with very young children.
Playground
The playground committee is hard at work - the demolition of the old playground is underway! The students are excited! Recess is still happening, using the large field we have.
Up Next Week
On Monday, our Meadow Farms fundraiser ends.
Wednesday, September 30th, is a half-day for students. Dismissal is at 11:35.
Thursday, October 1st, we have a PTO meeting in the Golden Hill Library at 4:00 PM.
